At an estimated cost to Armenia of US$620 million, SSIP sought to make 25 percent of all the country’s schools safer.

In addition, the Asian Development Bank contributed US$88.5 million; the World Bank provided US$22 million; and the European Investment Bank was slated to allocate US$88.5 million for this effort.
